The subdomain jabber.smash-net.org did not return any IP, while any other subdomain did. I reset the DNS entry and the DNS entry seems to be working again. 23.10.2014: We had some downtime tonight because of some kernel errors. I brought the server back online and updated to a newer kernel while i was at it. 15.10.2014: The Server is no longer accepting connections with SSLv3 protocol due to poodle bug. TLSv1 or higher is now required. 11.08.2014: Renewed Certificates 19.05.2014: The Server is now forcing encryption on client to server (c2s) and server to server (s2s) connections. 14.03.2014: I just installed new CaCert certificates to satisfy the common impression, that trusted certificates by anyone who will sign everything if you give them a load of money or plain sign everything for free is somehow secure. Have fun :-). 22.10.2013: Yesterday a harddrive broke and triggered the raid management to map out the disk. While doing maintenance the support staff realized the second drive was broken too. So i had to ddrescue one disk while offline to restore the server data, which lead to a significant downtime. Sorry for the inconvenience.
